Use the email address associated with your Gustus account
Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
Specify that you want to permanently delete your account
We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days) and
confirm deletion once completed.
What Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
Account information:
Email address
Display name
Avatar URL
User ID and authentication identifiers
All user-generated content:
All coffee brew logs and recipes
All ratings, notes, and sensory evaluations
All taste tags and feeling tags
All brew method details and recipe parameters
All visibility settings
Warning: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Once your account is deleted, all your data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have exported any data you wish to keep before proceeding.
What May Remain Temporarily
After account deletion, the following may remain for a limited period due to technical
requirements:
Backups: Database backups may contain your data until backup retention
expires. We do not maintain backups of deleted data long-term.
Security logs: Operational logs that reference your account ID (but not
personal content like notes or ratings) may be retained according to standard log retention
policies for security and debugging purposes.
Supabase Auth records: In rare cases where Supabase Auth deletion fails,
your authentication record may remain in Supabase's systems, but you will not be able to
access the app as your application data will be deleted.
Deletion Process
Account deletion is performed immediately upon confirmation. The deletion process:
Removes your user profile from the database
Cascades to delete all associated coffee logs and related data
Attempts to delete your authentication record from Supabase
Occurs within a single database transaction to ensure data consistency
You will be signed out of the app immediately after deletion. If you try to sign in again
with the same Google account, you will need to create a new account.
